Les Quatre Gallois (QG) is a classically elegant and beautifully furnished two bedroom apartment in the Palais Adeila in Nice, capital of France’s famous Côte d’Azur.
Situated on the crossroads of a number of Nice’s most desirable districts, including the Carre d’Or and Musiciens, the Art Déco Palais Adeila with its beautiful façade, balconies and louvred shutters to the windows, enjoys a quiet location.
All the attractions of Nice are within walking distance, with convenient bus routes accessible from stops within a two minute walk. No car is necessary.
There is an entry-phone system into Palais Adeila and QG is found on the fourth floor of this private building which may be reached via a charming lift as well as by the stairs.
Essential for the long Nice summers, QG has air conditioning throughout, with separate controls for each of the bedrooms and the lounge.
One of the more spectacular results of the complete renovation of QG during the spring of 2006 is the restoration to its former glory of the original herringbone parquet flooring throughout the bedrooms and the lounge.
The Lounge
At 83 square meters, QG is and feels spacious. It is light and airy with high ceilings. The lounge is particularly elegant with its six tall windows giving on to views along Avenue des Fleurs towards Boulevard Victor Hugo.
A contemporary touch is given to this room’s elegance with a stunning polished chrome fourteen lamp chandelier. The shutters to the windows of this room are electrically operated. The lounge boasts a flat screen television, a DVD player and an I-Pod dock
Kitchen and dining
QG’s large square hallway with its white marble floor, brilliant white walls and ceiling with recessed spotlights makes for a perfect dining area where up to six can be seated around a black glass and chrome table on black leather chairs.
The kitchen is brand new and fully equipped. It has a fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. There is an iron and ironing board.
Bedrooms
The apartment sleeps up to six in comfort. One of the bedrooms has a large double bed while the other has twin beds. In the lounge, one of the two large sofas converts easily into a comfortable double bed.
Each of the bedrooms, as well as the kitchen, has a small balcony.
Bathroom
The bathroom has been fully refurbished and is tiled in navy blue. It has two washbasins, a bath and a shower. There is a separate WC which is similarly tiled.
